Description of the Workplace
The position is based in the Division of Electromagnetics and Nanoelectronics at the Department of Electrical and Information Technology.
The division comprises 15 senior researchers and approximately 20 doctoral students. The division maintains extensive collaboration with industry.
Research activities include semiconductor devices, nanotechnology, electronics, computational electromagnetics.
Subject and Project Description
The project focuses on fabrication and investigation of advanced transistors based on ultra-wide-bandgap semiconductor materials within the III-nitride system. Key focus: AlGaN- and AlScN-based High-Electron-Mobility Transistors (HEMTs) for RF and power electronics applications.
Work Duties
You will primarily devote yourself to doctoral studies. Research focus: Fabrication and characterization of nitride-based HEMTs. Additional responsibilities include publishing, presenting at conferences, coursework, and teaching (max 20%).
Qualifications
Admission requirements: Second-cycle qualification or equivalent. Specific requirements: At least 60 second-cycle credits in Electrical Engineering-related subjects or MSc in specified engineering fields.
