About the Department
The position is within the Division of Communications Engineering at the Department of Electrical and Information Technology, Faculty of Engineering (LTH), Lund University.
The division includes 8 senior researchers, around 20 doctoral students, and strong collaborations with industry. Research covers wireless communication in a broad sense, spanning from communication theory to the implementation of antenna structures.
Subject and Project Description
The doctoral project focuses on the design and analysis of future wireless systems, with particular emphasis on 6G wireless systems and Distributed MIMO systems (D-MIMO).
Research activities include algorithm development for distributed processing, synchronization methods, resource allocation in distributed MIMO systems, and energy efficiency and sustainability.
This position is part of NextG2Com, a Vinnova Competence Center coordinated by Lund University.
Work Duties
The primary responsibility is to devote yourself to doctoral education through research studies, including participation in research projects and third-cycle courses. Additional duties include teaching and other departmental responsibilities (max 20% of working hours).
Qualifications
Applicants must satisfy the general and specific admission requirements for third-cycle education in Electrical Engineering. Good ability to work independently, good written and oral communication skills, good collaborative ability, and very good command of spoken and written English are required. Experience developing signal processing algorithms, strong background in mathematics, and experience with MATLAB or Python are advantageous.
About the Employment
Fixed-term, full-time (100%). Start date as soon as possible by agreement, but no later than 1 December 2026. Doctoral studies at LTH consist of four years of full-time study.
