About Soochow University

Soochow University is located in Suzhou, a famous historical and cultural city known as paradise on earth, with a history of 120 years. Soochow University is one of the universities first listed in the “Project 211” and “2011 Plan”, a “Double First-Class” educational institution co-administered by the Ministry of Education and People’s Government of Jiangsu Province, and a key comprehensive university of Jiangsu Province co-organized by the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and People’s Government of Jiangsu Province.

The first postdoctoral research station at Soochow University was approved by the state in 1995. So far, the university has set up 30 post-doctoral research stations, covering all the disciplines with first class doctoral degree authorization. Soochow University always adheres to the strategy of strengthening the university with talents. During the 14th “5 Year Plan” Period, Soochow University will focus on the construction of postdoctoral team, continue to expand the recruitment scale of postdoctoral team, focus on exploring the characteristic training system of postdoctoral team building a postdoctoral team with both scale and quality, building a high-level teaching and research reserve team with vitality to assist the Double First-Class construction.

I. Qualifications:

1. Have good political quality, moral cultivation, physical and mental health;
2. Achieve doctoral degree within 3 years in or outside China; under the age of 35;
3. Strong scientific research ability and academic research potential;
4. Meet the recruitment requirements of the postdoctoral research stations of Soochow University.

Mathematics, Statistics, Basic Medical Sciences, Animal Husbandry, Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Pharmacy, Special Medicine, Philosophy, Political Science, Chemistry, Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Technology, Applied Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science and Technology, Software Engineering, the Chinese Language and Literature, Foreign languages and Literature, Chinese History, Physics, Optical Engineering, Physical Science, Textile Science and Engineering, Law, Education, Design Science, Marxist Theory, Information and Communication Engineering, Clinical Medicine and Nursing.

IV. Relevant remuneration and support measures

1. Remuneration and treatment

The total salary of unified recruitment postdoctoral staff during the employment period consists of basic annual salary, bonus and compensation. The total salary for outstanding performers is RMB 1 million, the total salary for excellent performers is RMB 800,000, and the total salary for qualified performers is RMB 600,000.

(1) Annual basic salary: RMB 200,000 (not including social insurance and provident fund provided by the university), which will be paid monthly.

(2) Bonus and compensation: it will be paid annually according to the performance evaluation results. During the employment period, the total amount of bonus and compensation for outstanding performers is RMB 400,000, and the total amount of bonus and compensation for excellent performers is RMB 200,000.

2. Support measures

(1) While in station, the funding achieved from programs shown below is not included in the total compensation of the university. The programs include: postdoctoral innovative talents support program, postdoctoral fellow at the international exchange programs introduced project, postdoctoral fellow at the international exchange plans to send project, Xiang Iiang scholars program and Macao young scholars, Sino-German postdoctoral exchange program

(2) A monthly rental subsidy of RMB 1,000.

(3) Postdoctoral fellows can be rewarded based on their scientific research achievements obtained during the station period according to the regulations of the university.

(4) Postdoctoral fellows can participate in the evaluation of professional and technical position qualification according to the relevant regulations of the university.

(5) Outstanding performers can be recommended to apply for teaching and scientific research positions in the university.
