The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) ranks among the best in the country. Our research programs are at the forefront of the technologies that have changed the world we live in. Carnegie Mellon University’s department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is searching for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by designing, synthesizing and characterizing multifunctional composite materials for applications in soft robotics and wearable computing and such other tasks that are assigned to you.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performing independent research
  • Responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment used to perform research
  • Responsible for reporting progress to project advisor, research collaborators, and funding sponsors
  • Responsible for documenting research accomplishments and reporting work in a peer-reviewed journal
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Doctorates Degree
  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
