Postdoctoral Research Associate I, Department of Neurology

Innovate new areas of experimental inquiry.

Advance technical aspects of experimental approaches and mechanistic understanding of biological problems.

Mentor junior lab members and contribute to a productive scientific environment.

Maintain detailed records and disseminate research findings in meetings and as manuscripts in scientific journals.

Apply for independent funding and contribute to grant proposals submitted by the PI.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to work independently on research projects within an area of specialization.
• Demonstrated aptitude to perform experimental protocols and procedures, including detailed data collection and analysis, ad a strong publication record.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Background in neurobiology, neurodegeneration and related experimentation.

Minimum Qualifications

• PhD or MD/PhD in neuroscience, molecular cellular biology, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in working with rodent models.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
