Essential Job Duties
- Engineering design, construction, and testing of prototype devices for skin wound healing applications, including building testbeds and collecting performance data.
- Deployment of prototype devices at pre-clinical site, including training personnel and providing engineering support as required.
- Maintaining engineering documentation by creating, organizing, updating, and preserving technical records.
- Support writing and preparation of project reports and dissemination materials, like conference abstracts and posters and manuscripts for publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
Working Conditions
- This position requires traveling to the Massachusetts General Hospital main campus.
Minimum Qualifications (Required)
Education: A PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field is required
Experience: Minimum five years of experience (including MS and PhD. research experience) in design and prototyping of devices.
Skills: Demonstrated excellence in one or more of the following areas is required: control systems, mechanical design, electromechanical system fabrication, rapid prototyping, miniature sensors development, electronic circuit design, CAD design, programming in LabVIEW, LabVIEW Real-Time (software and hardware).
