Position Title: Postdoctoral Research Associate - Veterinary Medicine

Appointment Type: Post Doc/Trainee

Job Description:

• Lead an applied research project focused on animal production and welfare in the beef cattle feed yards. This opportunity will combine science and extension to improve farm performance.
• Collaborate on meaningful projects related to beef cattle health management and animal welfare
• Design and carry out field studies, including overnight travel to farms for data collection
• Create science-based extension materials for farm workers and managers

Required Minimum Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Applied Ethology or Animal Welfare Science

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with data analysis
• Demonstrated experience writing and submitting publications to peer-reviewed journals
• Demonstrated experience with grant writing
