Offer Description
The Department of Economics and Social Sciences, Institute of Marketing and Innovation is currently seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate.
Extent of employment: 40 hours per week
Duration of employment: 15th of January 2027, limited to 14th of January 2033
Workplace: Vienna
Allocation in compliance with the Collective Agreement for University Staff to job group: B1 lit. b
Gross monthly salary and pay grade in terms of collective agreement for university staff: € 5.079,50 (payable 14 times per year)
Responsibilities
- Independent research in the field of the Sustainable Consumer Behavior Research Group at the institute
- Independent publication activities in international journals
- Participation in research projects and publication activities of the institute
- Establishment of international research cooperations
- Representation of the institute at national and international conferences
- Independent conception and implementation of teaching modules in marketing, consumer behavior and methods (teaching load: 4 semester hours per week/semester)
- Creation of teaching materials and e-learning content
- Supervision of bachelor theses (as needed) and master theses as well as co-supervision of dissertations
- Active contributions in third mission/science communication
- Participation in the administration of the institute, institute events as well as student support
Required skills and qualifications
- Doctorate degree/PhD in Business Administration (with a focus on marketing and sustainability), Applied Psychology with a focus on sustainability and consumer behavior, Environmental Psychology, or a related field of study
- Excellent command of English in writing and speaking; knowledge of the German language is beneficial but not crucial to the job
- Evidence of relevant publications in international journals in the field of consumer behavior research (accepted or currently under review)
Desired skills and qualifications
- Proof of scientific collaboration in relevant international research groups
- Proof of international research stays
- Methodological skills in quantitative and/or experimental research designs
- Solid IT skills (statistical software, literature management, etc.)
- Relevant teaching experience at Bachelor's and/or Master's level in the field of sustainable marketing and/or consumer behaviour
- Interest in a cumulative habilitation
- Experience in the acquisition of third-party-funding
- Willingness to travel for international conferences/workshops
- Independent, self-reliant and deadline-orientated way of working
