About This Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Green Metals Finance to deepen their scholarly impact and build a distinctive research profile in green iron and steel, with a strong emphasis on energy and green finance in the context of Australia–China cooperation.
Key responsibilities will include:
Research
- Lead and contribute to policy-relevant research on green iron and steel investment, finance and policy, including green hydrogen and renewable energy systems, with a focus on Australia, China and global markets.
- Analyse trade, investment and policy data to identify trends, drivers and scenarios for green metals collaboration.
- Produce high-quality academic publications and policy-oriented outputs, including briefs and reports, and contribute to competitive research funding applications.
- Translate research findings into practical outcomes and support engagement activities such as policy dialogues, webinars and stakeholder forums with industry, finance and government partners.
Supervision and Researcher Development
- Contribute to the supervision and mentoring of Honours and Higher Degree by Research students, providing guidance, feedback and professional development support.
- Support the development and coordination of research support staff in line with University policies and values.
Citizenship and Service
- Demonstrate UQ-aligned citizenship behaviours through collaboration, collegiality and participation in priority activities.
- Support internal academic and administrative functions, including committee work and the strengthening of external partnerships with industry, government and the wider community.
