"Postdoctoral research fellow position"

A postdoctoral research position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Yang at University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine. Our lab investigates molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying skeletal and joint diseases, including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetic fracture healing and inflammatory bone loss, with a strong emphasis on immune–stromal interactions, mechanobiology, and translational therapeutic strategies.

Current projects integrate in vivo disease and genetic models, single-cell and spatial transcriptomics, advanced imaging, and targeted RNA delivery approaches to understand and modulate disease-relevant signaling pathways in bone, cartilage, and immune cells.

Qualifications
Applicants should have a PhD, MD, DDS, or equivalent degree in Bone Biology, Immunology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, and related fields. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Strong motivation and commitment to research
• Experience with molecular, cellular, and/or animal models
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A record (or strong potential) of peer-reviewed publications

Experience in arthritis models, skeletal biology, macrophage/osteoclast biology, mechanotransduction, single-cell/spatial omics, or nanomedicine is advantageous.
