Postdoctoral Research Fellow / Research Fellow (Psychology – Human-Centred Computing)

About This Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow or Research Fellow, with expertise in psychology and computer science, to join our world-leading School of Psychology to support research on an ARC Laureate Project, Transforming Understanding of Cognitive Ageing: Bridging the Lab–Life Gap.

This project will use groundbreaking methods to assess the cognitive function of older adults in real world scenarios in a manner previously considered intractable. The data will then be leveraged to deliver new resources that empower older people to remain socially connected, active in the workforce, and live safely in their own homes well into their golden years.

Working with Laureate Fellow Professor Julie Henry, you will play a key role in this vital, innovative research. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your expertise and emerging research profile in psychology and computer science, enhance your leadership skills through student supervision and researcher development, and contribute to internal and external service roles and activities.

This is a research focused position which will be offered at Academic Level A or B, commensurate with the successful candidate’s skills and experience. Further information can be found by viewing UQ’s Criteria for Academic Performance.
