Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join School of Mechanical, Medical and Process Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Academic Division.

The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will work together with industry partner Stryker on an in-depth analysis to aid the development of a medical device for bone tissue harvesting. The comparison of current standard procedures and the new procedure envisaged with the new device will enable a robust assessment of total cost of care which can serve as a basis for pricing and reimbursement strategies. The outcome shall contain a detailed documentation of all procedures and services provided to the patient in the case treatment in which a tissue harvester could be applied. In a cost breakdown analysis, the procedures and services are marked with the individual cost they generate. The role will contribute to strengthening existing partnerships with external stakeholders, and to developing new and ongoing partnerships throughout the length of their appointment. The postdoctoral fellow will be supported by clinical research staff to gather the information.
