Offer Description
The project aims at investigating the implication of the synaptotagmin / ganglioside interaction in synaptic vesicles life cycle and neurotransmitter release.
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate, with a neurobiology background. Experience in neuronal cell cultures, fluorescence-based synaptic vesicle recycling as well as neurotransmitter release monitoring by patch clamp is necessary. Experience in immunocytochemistry would be a plus. The candidate should be willing to work in a highly interdisciplinary environment and should be able to work independently.
The candidate will take advantage of a patch-clamp rig equipped for multi-electrode recording coupled to a video-microscopy system mounted on an inverted microscope (Olympus BX51WI, Evolve camera, Photometrics®). The candidate will have also access to onsite confocal microscope core facility for fixed and living tissue.
The project will be conducted at DyNaMo (Dynamics and nanoenvironment of biological membranes) Marseille, France under the supervision of Oussama El Far.
DyNaMo is an interdisciplinary research laboratory (INSERM / Aix-Marseille University) dedicated to uncovering the physical, molecular, and biochemical mechanisms that govern biological systems across scales—from single molecules and membranes to cells, tissues, and organisms and from microseconds to minutes. Our laboratory brings together experts in cell biology, biochemistry, experimental and theoretical biophysics.
Interested candidates should submit the following documents in a single PDF entitled LASTNAME_Firstname_postdoc27:
- A cover letter outlining your research interests and experience.
- Curriculum vitae (CV) with a list of publications.
- Contact information for three references.
Deadline: October 18, 2026
