How will you contribute?

Join us for building the next generation of semiconductor quantum chips!

You will be part of the LIST’s Quantum Materials group, led by Dr. Florian Kaiser.

Within our FNR PEARL project “AQuaTSiC”, you will help us to develop and use the next-generation silicon carbide quantum nanophotonic devices for on-chip entanglement experiments-

You will get access to our nanofabrication lab, and further develop our wafer-scale nanophotonic device engineering toolset. You will create nanophotonic devices, such as inverted nanocones, free-standing waveguides and cavities, and explore the potential of SiC-on-insulator materials.

Based on these advances, you will support experiments targeting spin-photon entanglement for quantum networks, as well as photonic interference between distant colour centres for distributed quantum computing.

With this project, you will initiate disruptive breakthroughs towards scalable quantum technologies based on industrial semiconductors.

Optional follow-up funding until mid-2030 is available, as well as the principal possibility to develop additional projects.
