Offer Description
The Human Neuroscience Lab (https://wpd.ugr.es/~humneuro/) of the Mind, Brain and Behavior Research Center (CIMCYC, https://cimcyc.ugr.es/en) in Granada (Spain) is looking to hire a postdoctoral researcher in the field of Cognitive Neuroscience. Starting time is flexible, ideally Jan 2027.
The position will be funded for 1 year (with possibility for extension of an additional year) to work in studies aimed at characterizing the role of prediction and task relevance in neural information coding (funded throgh the grant ref. PID2025-171459NB-I00 from the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities).
Applicants are required to:
- Hold a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience or related fields.
- Have proven experience with behavioral task design, fMRI and/or M/EEG neuroimaging.
- Have strong programming skills and familiarity with multivariate analyses.
- Show ability to successfully take research projects to completion and collaborate in teams.
Our lab offers a collaborative and international research environment with access to neuroimaging equipment (research-dedicated 3T Prisma scanner, high-density EEG, TMS, eye-trackers) and extensive experience in advanced analysis methods, including multivariate decoding. It is part of CIMCYC, a renowed university research center located in the beautiful city of Granada (close to the ski station of Sierra Nevada and to the beach, with a friendly culture and amazing gastronomy) that holds a prestigious Maria de Maeztu seal of excellence (https://cimcyc.ugr.es/en/research/maria-maeztu-unit-excellence).
