Postdoctoral Researcher in Computational Glycobiology and Biophysics
We are seeking an enthusiastic and team-oriented postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Hamilton Institute in Maynooth University under the direct supervision of Prof Damien Woods and Dr Elisa Fadda, as external co-supervisor, to lead a project in the area of computational glycobiology and biophysics. The position is anticipated to be 10 months in duration, with a starting date in January 2025, through a Research Ireland (formally SFI) Frontiers for the Future Programme.
The project aims to include the expansion of the GlycoShape 3D glycan structure database and use molecular simulations to characterise recognition of bacterial glycans and immune signalling response via Toll-like Receptor (TLR) readers, as part of an international collaboration with a team of experts in glycoproteomics, glycomics and in immunology.
Salary Scale:
Post Doctoral Researcher (2025): €46,305 p.a. (1 Point)
Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
