Position Overview
The Fagerholm group is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to study the molecular mechanisms regulating immune cell signaling and programming in vivo, with a focus on dendritic cells, the main antigen-presenting cells.
The work is relevant for understanding immunodeficiency, inflammatory disorders, and cancer, using techniques including:
- Mouse models and colony management
- In vivo immune cell functional assays
- Flow cytometry
- Cell biology and metabolic assays
- Imaging techniques
- Omics techniques, such as RNA-seq
This position is embedded in a highly interdisciplinary research environment and encourages collaboration across fields.
Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications:
- PhD in immunology or closely related field (or near completion)
- Strong academic record and deep understanding of immunology
- Practical experience in immune cell biology, cell culture, omics (RNA-seq), flow cytometry, and mouse colony management
- Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluent in English
