Do you want to contribute to improving human health?

Are you interested in lifestyle habits and health? Do you have experience working with large-scale datasets? We are looking for a driven postdoctoral researcher who wants to grow within precision nutrition together with us.

Your mission

Professor Marie Löf, leads the research group IMPACT (Innovative use of Mobile Phones to promote physical ACTivity and nutrition across the lifespan) (at Karolinska Institutet). The group (>35 people) conduct research in digital health with development of interventions with focus on health care services with special emphasis on pregnant women and children. We are now looking to strengthen the group with a postdoctoral researcher who has a strong profile in large‑scale data management and analysis. The person will work with both data analysis and reporting of existing data, as well as participate in projects that are in the start‑up phase. The role also includes some project coordination and supervision. We are seeking a motivated postdoctoral researcher who wants to lead their own research and grow together with us. The group has extensive experience in mentoring early‑career researchers and supporting their academic development.

The position is a fixed-term employment for two years.

Your profile

Applicants should hold a doctoral degree in medical science such as nutrition, epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related field. It is particularly advantageous if the candidate has a background in nutritional epidemiology and experience with large-scale studies in which nutritional variables have been analysed together with biomarkers and health outcomes. Likewise, documented experience in research related to child and women’s health is considered a merit. Documented experience supervising master’s students and doctoral candidates, as well as a genuine interest in this, is viewed positively since it will be part of the job responsibilities. The candidate should be thorough and well‑organized, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team. We place great emphasis on cooperation skills, flexibility, and personal suitability. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are required, along with experience in scientific writing. Fluency in Swedish, both spoken and written, is considered an additional merit.

To be eligible for employment as a postdoctoral researcher, a PhD or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a Swedish PhD is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. Completion of your doctoral degree within the last three years is considered an advantage. If there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.
