The postdoctoral researcher will have flexibility to define their own research agenda, but a successful candidate will be broadly interested in contributing to projects investigating gene-environment interactions, chemical susceptibility, and effects of exposure on evolutionary processes with a focus on emerging contaminants such as PFAS. Research integrates Caenorhabditis elegans (C. elegans) as a model system with approaches including:
- Quantitative genetics (GWAS/QTL mapping)
- High-throughput phenotyping
- RNA-seq and multi-omics integration
- Functional genomics (e.g., RNAi, transgenics)
The postdoctoral scholar will have opportunities to lead independent projects, mentor undergraduate researchers, and contribute to grant writing and publications.
