Sorbonne University is a multidisciplinary, research-intensive, world-class university. Based in the heart of Paris and present across the region, it is committed to student success and to addressing the scientific challenges of the 21st century.

The team's objective is to study the comorbidities of type 2 diabetes, such as insulin resistance and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and their relationship with lipid metabolism. There is strong continuity between basic and clinical research, thanks to the joint presence of researchers and clinicians (diabetology and hepatology departments at Pitie-Salpetriere Hospital).
