Offer Description
I am writing to announce an opening for a postdoctoral researcher in my laboratory, supported by an internal grant awarded by the Lebanese American University. This position is intended to advance research in finance, in accordance with the terms of the internal funding. I am seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to contribute to innovative projects in the field of finance. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and access to state-of-the-art research facilities. The appointment is for two months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and collaborate on cutting-edge finance research projects.
- Produce publications in high-impact journals and present findings at international conferences.
- Engage in interdisciplinary research with access to extensive datasets and analytical tools.
- Mentor graduate students and support collaborative research initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Finance, Economics, or related field by the start date.
- Strong background in quantitative analysis, econometrics, and empirical research.
- Demonstrated research excellence through publications or conference presentations. Strong research skills, including experience in quantitative methods, econometrics, data analysis, and use of relevant statistical software (e.g., Stata, R, Python, or MATLAB).
- Proven ability to design and conduct independent research, with a track record or strong potential for publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Excellent academic writing and communication skills, with the ability to present research clearly to both specialized and broader audiences.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a diverse, multidisciplinary academic environment and to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience or interest in areas such as corporate finance, asset pricing, banking, financial markets, or related fields is highly beneficial.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with capacity to handle multiple research tasks and meet deadlines.
