Required Qualifications:
- Completion of an APA Accredited doctoral internship.
- Minimum of ABD status in a doctoral psychology program by the residency start date.
- Willingness to commit to remaining in the position for the minimum of 12 months unless otherwise negotiated
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of an APA Accredited doctoral internship in a university counseling center setting.
- Team orientation.
- Interpersonal flexibility.
- Experience providing services to individuals and groups with various lived experiences and with clinical presentations.
Job Description:
The Postdoctoral Resident will engage in several general university counseling center clinical staff roles.
Job Duties:
- Initial consultations and intakes.
- Individual and group therapy.
- Crisis intervention.
- Educational programming.
- Outreach and consultation.
- Participation in training of interns and practicum students.
- Residents will receive two (2) hours per week of clinical supervision by a licensed psychologist.
- Additional time for professional development activities and training with professional staff will also be provided.
- May assist with filling embedded counselor duties as needed.
- Residents will have an opportunity to negotiate the option to spend a small amount of time focusing on an area of professional interest that also mutually benefits the Counseling Center’s mission.
