Postdoctoral Scholar - Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology
Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Postdoctoral Scholar - Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at its Detroit campus location. The purpose of the Postdoctoral Scholar positions is to provide individuals, who have recently (within the past 6 years) completed a doctoral degree, with a full-time program of advanced academic preparation and research training under the guidance of a supervising Faculty Mentor. Essential functions include performing scientific techniques or research protocols, designing and performing experiments, collecting and logging research data, writing research grants, evaluating and analyzing data, preparing presentations and manuscripts, and maintaining laboratory work areas. Unique duties focus on NIH-funded projects investigating preconception environmental exposures on sperm epigenetics and early-life development using human cohort studies and animal models, including SEEDS study, RNA-seq, RRBS, WGBS, EPIC arrays, and related genomic techniques.
