"Postdoctoral Scholar - Mathematics"

The Mathematics Department at Syracuse University seeks to fill one 12-month Postdoctoral Scholar position. This is a one-year position with the possibility of reappointment for a second year. For more information, see https://artsandsciences.syracuse.edu/mathematics/.

Qualifications: Recent Ph.D. in an area of pure or applied mathematics or statistics. Strong potential in both research and teaching.

Job Specific Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates whose research interests overlap and/or complement those of the existing faculty.

Responsibilities: Conducting research, contributing to the intellectual life of the department, mentoring graduate and undergraduate students in the department, and teaching; the teaching load is 9 credits (3 courses) per academic year.
