Position Overview

• Pursue doctoral studies including independent research and coursework.
• May include teaching and departmental duties up to 20% of time.

Eligibility

• Completed second-cycle degree (Master’s) with at least 240 ECTS, including 60 ECTS at second-cycle level.
• At least 30 ECTS in media and communication studies (or equivalent, e.g., strategic communication).
• Completed independent scholarly work of at least 15 ECTS at second-cycle level.
• Sufficient proficiency in English for research literature, coursework, and seminars.

Assessment Criteria

• Primary consideration: ability to benefit from doctoral studies.
• Particular weight on Master’s thesis and proposed doctoral dissertation idea.
• Assessment also considers independent working ability, structured approach, and contribution to a positive research environment.

Terms and Conditions

• Fixed-term employment, 4 years, in accordance with the Swedish Higher Education Ordinance.
• Participation in teaching and departmental duties up to 20% may extend contract up to 5 years.
• Full-time (100%) position, monthly salary.
