Poultry Health Specialist
Position Summary
The University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Population Health invites applications for a 9-month tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the field of Poultry Health. Responsibilities associated with this position include research (70%), teaching (20%), and service (10%). The successful candidate will be expected to establish and maintain an independent extramurally funded research program with the aim of solving infectious disease problems in the poultry industry. Avenues of research that focus on the interactions between poultry management practices and disease are welcome. The selected faculty member will also be expected to teach in the undergraduate and graduate curriculums and to perform service activities in support of the University’s mission. It is expected that the successful candidate will collaborate with other faculty members in the Poultry Diagnostic and Research Center (PDRC), the College of Veterinary Medicine, and other Colleges and Centers at UGA to advance the field of poultry health.
Rank, salary, and terms of appointment will be dependent upon qualifications and experience of the applicant.
