Practical Nursing Simulation Lab Trainer (Regular Part-Time/Latrobe)

faculty regarding development and integration of simulation into the curriculum. Facilitate the instructional modalities needed to meet the desired outcomes of the simulation. Interface with faculty and staff to facilitate optimum functioning of the simulation equipment. Provide a safe learning environment that encourages active learning and reflection and supports repetitive practice. Provide tutoring support to the Nursing Program students in concert with faculty. Foster participant learning by providing appropriate support throughout the simulation activity. Act as a resource person for faculty and students relative to the Nursing Skills and Simulation Lab equipment. Ensure security of the Nursing Lab and the equipment during assigned work hours. Monitor lab supplies inventory in cooperation with faculty. Validate each simulation based on current best practice. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS Accurately maintain records and submit reports as required. Maintain and develop work related knowledge, skills, and competencies related to the job through professional development and cross training opportunities. Maintain up-to-date with professional credentials, best practices and current disciplines including continued educational requirements through certifications, seminars, training programs, etc. Participate in departmental meetings, various committees and professional organizations as required.
