Practicum Education Coordinator
Position Summary
The School of Social Work invites applications for the position of Academic Professional to serve in a practicum education coordinator capacity in our Practicum Education office. This academic professional faculty position will include recruitment and evaluation of appropriate practicum education learning sites; placement of students in practicum sites; practicum education liaising; administrative management of practicum education protocols; and teaching multiple practicum education and practice courses.
This position is based on the UGA School of Social Work Gwinnett campus. Courses will be taught in the evenings in Gwinnett. Regular in-person meetings in Athens required.

Minimum Qualifications
Must have an MSW degree.
Additional Requirements
Must have an MSW degree and a minimum of 5 years of post-graduate social work practice. Must have knowledge of Practicum Education.
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or Certification
An established track record in teaching, administration, social work practice, student supervision, and a working knowledge of the Council on Social Work Education 2022 Educational Policies and Accreditation Standards are desirable. History of effectively working with students in higher education preferred. Clinical social work license preferred.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
Proficiency with software programs such as Excel, SONIA, or Tevera preferred.
Knowledge and/or an established relationships in the professional social service communities throughout Georgia are also strongly desired. Members of underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.
Physical Demands
Sitting for long periods of time. Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
