The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences is seeking to fill a Prae Doc position from September 2025 for a period of four years. The Department would like to strengthen its position in the area of chemoinformatics/modelling-based analyses of potential drug candidates and is looking for a scientist with expertise in this field. Your personal sphere of influence:

The focus of our research is in the field of computer-aided drug design. You should have some knowledge and qualifications in this field. Furthermore, you are interested in chemoinformatics and the operation of CAMD software is also part of your activities.

Your future tasks:

You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:

  • You will contribute to research projects and scientific studies in the field of computer-aided drug design,
  • We expect you to finalize your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months.
  • You work on your dissertation and its completion.
  • You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
  • You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration.
  • Specialist support for research projects already underway at the department

This is part of your personality:

  • Completed Master's degree or Diploma, programme in natural sciences or equivalent aptitude.
  • Didactic competences / experience with e-learning
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English (C1 Level), furthermore good command, if necessary
  • IT user skills: e.g. word processing, spreadsheets, use of LLMs
  • Knowledge of is desirable: Basic knowledge of computer-aided drug design, pharmacophore modelling, docking and virtual screening.
  • You should be a team player with high social skills
  • You are expected to subscribe to the PhD program of the PhaNuSpo Doctoral School.
