Pre-Degree Lecturer in Mathematics (m/f/d)

(full-time; 38.5 hrs./week, limited; 2 years)

Constructor University seeks an inspired lecturer to teach Mathematics modules over two consecutive semesters within the academic year. The Pre-Degree programs offer small class groups (25-30 students) and thus the interested candidate should be able to teach the material in a highly interactive manner. The candidate will receive multiple support and guidance from the team and the opportunity to grow their career within the department.

Your Responsibilities:

Demonstrable interest in innovative teaching (e.g. Hybrid Teaching) and learning approaches.
Teaching Mathematics modules in introductory Algebra, Calculus, and Statistics.
Supervision of learning processes and assessing their outcomes through weekly tutorials.
Administration, proctoring and correction of student examinations (midterm, final, makeup).
Effective use and population of Learning Management Systems (e.g. Moodle) for course material (e.g. slides) and assessment (e.g. assignments, online quizzes) delivery.
Dedicated weekly in-person teaching with administrative responsibilities on campus.
Training students for the TestAS qualifying exam.

Your Qualifications:

At least a master’s degree in mathematics or a related field (PhD is desirable).
Proven experience in teaching mathematics-related subjects.
Proven experience in teaching in international and diverse environments.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Fluency in English, the language of instruction and communication on campus.
Intercultural experience and competence.
