The President and Vice-Chancellor provides visionary, transparent, and collaborative leadership across all aspects of the university’s academic, research, and operational mandate. Working closely with the senior leadership team, Senate, Board, and campus community, the President strengthens trust, collegial governance, and shared purpose, while also serving as the University’s primary external representative building relationships with government, Indigenous nations, industry, donors and community partners. UVic’s next President will be an inspiring and strategic leader with an ambitious vision for the University’s future—someone who champions student success, academic excellence, research impact, sustainability, and equity.
