Reporting to NSCC’s Board of Governors, the President provides executive leadership to a province-wide organization, working closely with the Board to support effective governance and advance the College’s strategic priorities. The President shapes institutional direction and ensures these priorities translate into meaningful outcomes for learners, employers, and the provincial economy.

The successful candidate will bring senior executive experience leading at scale in large, complex organizations, coupled with a strong record of strategic leadership and impact. Experience in post-secondary, workforce development, applied education, or a related sector is an asset.

The President demonstrates cultural competence and has proven equity leadership abilities, recognizing culturally relevant and accessible supports as essential to student success. An inclusive people leader, the President is skilled in creating alignment and supporting high-performing teams and brings sound judgment in financial and operational stewardship. They bring experience leading within multi-site or similarly complex environments, including unionized settings. The President has exceptional communication and presentation skills along with a graduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and senior leadership experience.
