Āu Mahi | What You Will Do

As the Prevention and Response Lead - Harmful Sexual Behaviour, you will lead the development and delivery of a pan-University prevention, response and support system to address harmful sexual behaviour for staff and students and foster systemic change. You will provide subject matter expertise and embed safe, and trauma-informed practices across UC. Working within the Equity and Inclusion team, you will collaborate with faculties, service units, student support teams, accommodation providers, and external partners to foster a culture of consent and a safe and inclusive environment for all staff and students.

Mōu | Who You Are

You will be an experienced professional with at least 4-5 years' experience designing and delivering harmful sexual behaviour prevention and response initiatives. You will hold a Bachelor's degree (NZQA Level 7) in Health Sciences, Psychology, Behavioural Science, Social Work or a related field. You will also have:

  • Skilled knowledge of harmful sexual behaviour prevention theory and practice.
  • Experience in service delivery development and case advising practitioners related to risk management and support provision.
  • Proven ability to design and facilitate education, training and professional development for a wide range of audiences.
  • Experience coaching staff and communicating effectively with young adults.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain community, sector and stakeholder relationships.
  • Active commitment to UC values and cultural practices, with te reo Māori competency an advantage.
