• Remuneration: $110,059 - $128,039 + 17% Super and leave loading
• Location: Kensington, NSW - Hybrid Flexible Working (at least 2-3 days per week in the office)

Why Your Role Matters:

As a Post-Doctoral Fellow (Level A or B), you will join a multi-disciplinary team who are conducting world-leading research into how artificial intelligence, smartphone technology, and health economic modelling, can inform creation of new systems for personalising psychological interventions and delivering them at scale, funded by a NHMRC Synergy Grant. You will play a critical role in policy research and translation. In conjunction with the Synergy research team, you will carry out independent research to develop the knowledge required to respond to contemporary issues in public health, treatment, suicide prevention, and psychological science. You will synthesise and translate research into policy and practice recommendations for scientific bodies, governments and key stakeholders. You will help develop tenders and applications for research funding. This role will build the evidence base, using research studies and data, to build first-class commentary around issues of relevance to the public and the science community, including those related to artificial intelligence, technology and health reform.

The Post-Doctoral Fellow reports to the Senior Research Fellow and may have one direct report.

Who You Are:

To be considered at level A:

• A PhD in psychology, mental health, or public health.
• Proven commitment to proactively keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
• Demonstrated ability to undertake high quality academic research and conduct independent research with limited supervision.
• Demonstrated track record of publications and conference presentations relative to opportunity.
• High level communication skills and ability to network effectively and interact with a diverse range of students and staff.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines and build effective relationships.
• Evidence of highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of equal opportunity principles.
• Knowledge of OHS responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant OHS training.

To be considered at level B (in addition to above):

• Demonstrated track record in research with outcomes of high quality and high impact with clear evidence of the desire and ability to continually achieve research excellence as well as the capacity for research leadership.
• A track record of significant involvement with the policy-related profession and/or industry.
• Proven ability to communicate scientific findings to non-scientific audiences.
