About UNSW:

UNSW isn’t like other places you’ve worked. Yes, we’re a large organisation with a diverse and talented community; a community doing extraordinary things. Together, we are driven to be thoughtful, practical, and purposeful in all we do. Taking this combined approach is what makes our work matter. It’s the reason we’re one of the top 50 universities in the world and a member of Australia’s prestigious Group of Eight. If you want a career where you can thrive, be challenged and do meaningful work, you’re in the right place.

Why Your Role Matters:

As a Post-Doctoral Fellow (Level A or B), you will join a multi-disciplinary team who are conducting world-leading research into how artificial intelligence, smartphone technology, and health economic modelling, can inform creation of new systems for personalising psychological interventions and delivering them at scale, funded by a NHMRC Synergy Grant. You will play a critical role in policy research and translation. In conjunction with the Synergy research team, you will carry out independent research to develop the knowledge required to respond to contemporary issues in public health, treatment, suicide prevention, and psychological science. You will synthesise and translate research into policy and practice recommendations for scientific bodies, governments and key stakeholders. You will help develop tenders and applications for research funding. This role will build the evidence base, using research studies and data, to build first-class commentary around issues of relevance to the public and the science community, including those related to artificial intelligence, technology and health reform.

The Post-Doctoral Fellow reports to the Senior Research Fellow and may have one direct report.
