Job Description
The faculty for the department of Physician Assistant Studies primary role is to deliver curriculum content for the MPAS program. In addition, this position will participate in the programs operations as required by the accrediting body (ARC-PA). This is a full-time position with a salary and competitive benefits commensurate with experience and qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited physician assistant training program
- Certification by NCCPA
- Current licensure or eligibility for Tennessee licensure
- Possession of a masters degree in physician assistant studies and actively engaged or willing to obtain a doctoral degree in a field related to medical science
- Minimum of two years of full-time clinical experience as a physician assistant
- Excellent oral, written, organizational, and computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Terminal degree for profession, and related to position (e.g. Masters degree for PA, MD/DO for physician; PhD for scientist)
- Experience delivering curriculum content to PA students (clinical or didactic)
- Experience using a variety of academic learning systems (Canvas, BlackBoard)
- Clinical experience of 3-5 years
