Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role
As Principal Infrastructure Engineer, you will provide technical leadership for the University's end user computing platforms, ensuring secure, scalable and highly available services across Windows, Linux and macOS environments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the design, delivery and ongoing improvement of end user computing platforms, device management and automation practices.
- Supporting cloud, infrastructure and identity services, including Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID and virtualisation platforms.
- Driving platform security, compliance, patching and endpoint protection initiatives across the University.
- Providing technical leadership, mentoring and engineering oversight to the EUC team and wider ITS colleagues.
- Supporting operational excellence through incident resolution, lifecycle management, project delivery and participation in the on-call roster.
This is a full-time role (37.5 hours a week), based on our Hillcrest Campus.
