Summary

The Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Criminal Justice at Saint Xavier University is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach Introduction to Physical Anthropology.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

This introductory course is designed to provide students with an understanding of human evolution and diversity from a physical anthropological perspective. Major topics include the concept of evolution, biological relationships between humans and other primates, the fossil record of human evolution, and the basic methods employed by archeologists and physical anthropologists in the study of prehistoric humans' biological and cultural development.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have at least an MA or equivalent in Anthropology or related field. An earned doctorate is preferred. Highly sought after candidates will have experience teaching at the collegiate level.
