Job Purpose

​The position performs a wide range of complex administrative duties in support of department’s directors and Assistant Dean.

The budgeted annual salary range that the University reasonably expects to offer for this position is $40,477 – $46,210 annually. The internal full salary range is $40,477 – $54,763.

Perform wide range of complex administrative duties in support of department team members.

Create and manage complex excel spreadsheets for data tracking and program management.

Create reports, including graphics, based on collected data.

Anticipate team members needs based on recurring workflow and provide assistance to projects as needed.

Set-up, monitor, and tear-down departmental events and meetings.

Maintain professional and accurate records including confidential reports and information, both in electronic and written format.

Schedule department members appointments, calendars, meetings, travel and other events, including the procurement of logistical needs, as requested.

Submit and monitor work orders for office and department members.

Maintain and order supplies for the office and equipment.

Ensure public and communal office areas are organized, clean, welcoming, and clutter-free.

Minimum Qualifications

Associates of Arts degree + one (1) years of related experience or three (3) years of related experience if substituting experience for education requirement.

​​Microsoft Word skills to include the ability to create reports, containing graphs and other intermediate functions (e.g. perform mail merge, insert table of contents), edit documents.

Microsoft Excel skills to include the ability to create spreadsheets (e.g., formulas such as V-lookup, graphs, pivot tables).

Maintain composure in fast-paced work environment.

Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities with frequent interruptions.

Demonstrated ability to operate with a high level of confidently and discretion.

Demonstrated ability to accurately input data into various systems.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate intricate job-related processes to internal and external customers both via email and over the phone.

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.

Ability to understand and implement new technology, including software, social media programs, databases.

High level of competency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe, including Excel and PowerPoint.

1-3 years experience in a professional office setting in higher education.

Physical / Environmental Qualifications

Remain in a stationary position 80% of the time.

Ability to prep for and attend meetings and events across campus in various weather conditions.

Wrist and hand movement related to computer work.

Bend, stoop, kneel, stretch and reach.

Pick-up, carry and move items up to 25 lbs.
