Advertised Job Summary
University of South Carolina Printing Services is looking for an operator to produce quality printed products on a one, or multiple, color offset lithography printing press; including four color process printing. Employee must be able to interpret and follow printing specifications, maintain the daily schedule and accurately document time and material consumed in software. Following supervisor’s requirements, department policies, and safety guidelines are an essential measure of success for this position. The employee must constantly strive to improve his/her efficiency, as well as providing feedback to his/her manager to improve other areas of he department. The position demands a productive focus, without sacrificing quality or safety. Following the manager’s schedule for machine maintenance is primarily the operator’s responsibility. This position may be utilized throughout the department, including non-printing functions, based on workflow requirements. We prefer four (4) years of offset lithography printing experience. Must be flexible to allow for schedule changes and/or overtime to meet deadlines. Experience on Heidelberg PM74, Heidelberg QM46, and/or HALM Jet Envelope printing presses is preferred.

We prefer four (4) years of offset lithography printing experience. Experience on Heidelberg PM74, Heidelberg QM46, and HALM Jet Envelope printing presses is preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Must be able to produce quality printed products, while meeting management’s productivity rate, on a one, or multiple, color offset lithography printing press; including four color process, varnishes, etc.
• Ability to provide professional customer contact, ability to manage stress, and time management.
• Data entry ability
