Qualifications:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Jazz bass.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level,
preferably in private lesson and ensemble settings.
- Professional experience performing jazz and/or commercial music
on upright and electric bass.
- Ability to teach students with varied levels of experience and
musical backgrounds.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse student
body in a liberal-arts environment.
Salary: $2,557.00 per credit hour
All bargaining unit members shall be covered by a collective
bargaining agreement between Skidmore College and Services
Employees International Union (SEIU), Local 200 United.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Employment is
contingent upon the successful completion of the Form I-9 and
verification of identity and work authorization as required by
federal law.
