Meridian is seeking a compassionate and experienced Physician - Addiction Medicine (PRN) to provide high-quality, evidence-based care to individuals affected by substance use disorders. This advanced clinical role combines direct patient care with provider oversight, helping ensure excellence across our Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) programs in Gainesville, Florida.
What You'll Do
- Conduct timely patient evaluations and assessments
- Provide medication management in accordance with current clinical standards
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to support recovery and wellness
- Provide consultation, training, and clinical guidance to staff and providers
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Participate in chart reviews, case consultations, and clinical staffing
- Support program goals while maintaining quality patient outcomes
Qualifications
- M.D. degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an approved Family Medicine or Internal Medicine residency
- Minimum of three (3) years of medical experience or equivalent
- Active license to practice medicine in the State of Florida
- Knowledge of community mental health and substance use treatment programs, services, and best practices
- Experience evaluating, diagnosing, and treating medical and substance use disorders, including co-occurring psychiatric conditions
- Ability to type a minimum of 27 WPM and achieve at least 65% on the general assessment
