Procedure Scheduler - Perioperative Service Area

Monitor physician privileges for community doctors and coordinate multiple surgeon cases and proctoring scheduling when applicable. Utilize block booking schedules to coordinate operating room time. Schedule pre-operative testing appointments directly with patients and any preoperative testing including but not limited to giving patients appointment information. Provide training as necessary to new staff. The scheduling tasks include both the Main Operating Room as well as the Ambulatory Surgery Center. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Associate's degree and at least 2 years of experience in a hospital/healthcare setting working with a computerized patient/procedure scheduling system or, in lieu of a degree, at least 5 years of experience in a hospital/healthcare setting working with a computerized patient/procedure scheduling system. Detail orientated. Well organized. Works well within a group. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Admitting/registration experience. Surgery scheduling experience in Hospital, Physician Office or Outpatient Surgery Center. Familiarity using the following hospital programs: Cerner scheduling (Surginet) / Power Chart/ Microsoft Office. Special Notes : Resume/CV should be included with the online application. Anticipated Pay Range: The salary range (or hiring range) for this position is $47,453 - $58,213 / year. The above salary range represents SBUH's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The specific salary offer will be based on the candidate's validated years of comparable experience.
