Job Description

We're currently searching for a part-time Production Assistant to join our Dining Services Creative Services team in Blacksburg, VA. If you're passionate about creativity and enhancing the student experience, please keep reading.

Here's what you need to know about the role:

• You'll be joining the Dining Services Creative Services team, a group of creative professionals dedicated to enhancing the student dining experience through various marketing and communication mediums. You'll report directly to the Visual Communications Manager for Dining Services and work cross-collaboratively with various stakeholders.
• Assist the Visual Communications Managers during photo and video shoots, including setting up equipment, organizing props, and ensuring smooth workflow. Assist the Creative Media Manager with Print Production tasks, including laminating, cutting, and other related activities.
• Help maintain and organize visual assets, including photos, videos, and graphic files.
• Ensure all creative assets are delivered accurately and on time.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of photography and videography equipment.
• Valid driver's license for courier duties.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a production or creative services environment.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro).
• Previous experience in a university or educational setting.

Additional Information

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm and as needed for special events. The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check as well as a driving check with a safe driving record.
