University Spanish Teacher Job Description:

1. Location: Pingdingshan city, Henan province, China.
2. Contract Term: one academic year, Sep. 2024 to Aug. 2025.
3. Job Position: Spanish Teacher.
4. Students Age: 18-22 years old.
5. Work Days: Mondays to Fridays, two days off on weekends.
6. Work Hours: 16 teaching hours a week, no office hours.

Remuneration and Benefits:

1. Salary: RMB10,000 -RMB12,000 monthly.
2. Accommodation: free of charge independent apartment provided.
3. Meals: RMB750 allowance per month at school canteen.
4. Vacation: full paid one-month winter vacation, two months half paid summer vacation.
5. Holidays: full paid 11 days Chinese public holidays.
6. Airfare: RMB6,000 air ticket reimbursement upon the contract fulfillment.
7. Travel Allowance: RMB2,200 a year.
8. Insurance: accident insurance and health insurance provided.

Requirements:

1. Native Spanish speaker or Native English speaker who can teach Spanish courses
2. Bachelor’s degree or above.

About Pingdingshan

Pingdingshan (simplified Chinese: 平顶山), also known as Eagle City is a prefecture-level city in central Henan province, China. In Chinese, Pingdingshan means “mountain with a flat top”. The city is named after a nearby plateau, the top of which is very flat. The reason for the nickname of the city “Eagle City” can be traced back to two thousand years ago during the “Spring and Autumn Annals”. There was a small country royal named Ying who lived in Pingdingshan area. In ancient times, the word “Ying” had the same pronunciation as Eagle in Chinese, therefore people also called Pingdingshan “Eagle City”.
