Professional Expert III: Career Education Project Expert
Under the supervision of the Career Education Director, the Career Education Project Expert serves as a primary liaison among students, faculty, industry partners, and community organizations to support career readiness/experiential learning and instructional student related services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide leadership, coordination, and student support services to educational partners and students in designated pathways.
- Improve access, student success outcomes, decrease time-to-degree, and increase degree completion rates for students.
- Provide direct, frequent, and on-going holistic career education related services and referrals.
- Coordinate and execute high-priority logistical tasks within strict timelines.
- Maintains a variety of records, logs and student files; prepares periodic and special reports related to program activities and effectiveness.
- Build partnerships with programs across campus to carry out program objectives.
- Develop resource materials, publications, and handbooks.
- Develop and coordinate outreach services.
- Attend regular meetings, make presentations, and assist students via telephone and in person.
- Gathers data and prepares statistical reports as directed.
- Participates in the preparation and monitoring of assigned program budgets.
- Leads efforts to address student achievement gaps.
