Position Title: Professional Nursing Tutor, Success Coach

Status of Position: Part-Time

FLSA: Non Exempt

Position Summary: Provide support to students and act as a success coach.

Reporting Relationship: Reports to the Director of Nursing

Essential Responsibilities

1. Provide support to students in subject matter via group and/or individual tutoring.
2. Align academic support with faculty lectures and assigned text book.
3. Refer students to lab tutor as needed.
4. Meet with individual students as needed for academic tutoring.
5. Collect data as required by the grant or director of the nursing program.
6. Identify needed wrap around support services and reports to the Perkins and PATH grant manager.
7. Contribute to a friendly and productive learning environment
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing
• Experience with virtual meetings.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to relate to a diverse student body.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience teaching or tutoring at a community college.
2. Graduate of Prairie State Colleges nursing program.

Anticipated Work Hours and Days: As determined by students

Salary: $40/hr.
