Job Description
Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
We are seeking a Professional Teaching Fellow in Audiology to contribute to the delivery of high‑quality clinical services and teaching within the Master of Audiology (MAud) programme. This role supports the assessment and management of tinnitus, diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology services, and the clinical education of MAud students.
Working both independently and in collaboration with experienced tinnitus clinicians, the role provides specialist diagnostic services for adults and older children, delivers client‑centred care plans, and fits appropriate audiological devices to support rehabilitation. The position also contributes to practical clinical teaching, course development, and the ongoing enhancement of the MAud degree.
This is a full time (40 hours per week), permanent position.
The remuneration range for this role is between $105,791 - $139,199 depending on skills and experience.

You will bring a strong foundation in audiological practice, with the ability to work independently while contributing positively to clinical teams and the learning environment. You will demonstrate professionalism, ethical practice, and a commitment to supporting both clients and students. You will also show initiative, adaptability, and a proactive approach to clinical problem‑solving and student support.
Essential skills and experience
- Master of Audiology degree
- Minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience
- Competence in basic audiological techniques
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to manage clinic clients, including formulating and delivering care plans
- Capacity to supervise MAud student clinical training, including tutoring
Preferred skills and experience
- Full membership with the New Zealand Audiological Society (NZAS)
- Experience with tinnitus and/or hearing aid work
- Knowledge of advanced clinical practice
