Job Details

Professor & Program Chair, Cell Cycle & Cancer Biology
Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF)

The Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) invites applications and nominations for a Professor and Program Chair to lead its Cell Cycle & Cancer Biology (CCCB) Research Program. This is a senior leadership opportunity to build and direct a nationally visible cancer biology program within a highly collaborative and well-funded research environment.

Founded in 1946, OMRF is an independent nonprofit biomedical research institute with more than 50 principal investigators and an annual budget of ~$100M. Located in Oklahoma City's Health Center, OMRF is adjacent to the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, the Oklahoma City VA, and the NCI-designated Stephenson Cancer Center.

The successful candidate will lead the growth of CCCB into a broad and comprehensive cancer biology program, building on its strengths in chromosome dynamics, DNA repair and replication, genomic instability, transcription, epigenetics, and cell cycle regulation. The Program Chair will recruit and retain faculty, enhance collaborations, and expand funding, particularly through the NCI and other federal sources.

Qualifications:
PhD, MD, or MD/PhD in a relevant field; internationally recognized research program with sustained external funding (including NCI); demonstrated leadership experience; and a strong record of mentoring and collaboration.

OMRF offers a competitive start-up package, resources to recruit additional faculty, modern laboratory space, and robust core facilities.

Application Instructions:
Submit a cover letter outlining research, leadership experience, and vision for program growth, along with a CV and references here. Review will begin immediately and continue until filled.
