Overview

The Auburn University Harrison College of Pharmacy (HCOP) invites applications for a full-time 12- month faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor (Tenure Track) or Clinical Assistant/Associate/Professor (Non-Tenure Track) in the Department of Pharmacy Practice. Inpatient and outpatient opportunities exist in ambulatory care, substance use disorders/mental health/psychiatry, metabolic disease, pediatrics, and other specialty areas. Priority will be given to applicants whose expertise aligns with the College's Areas of Distinction: (1) substance use disorders and emerging drug trends, (2) healthy brain aging, and (3) cardiometabolic disease. Applicants with expertise or advanced training in pain management and palliative care will also receive favorable consideration. Appointment as Associate or Full Professor/Clinical Professor requires experience consistent with appointment to the Associate or Full Professor rank at a research-intensive university.

HCOP offers an undergraduate drug and biopharmaceutical sciences degree, the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, as well as graduate programs in Pharmaceutical Sciences with concentrations in Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, and Health Outcomes Research and Policy. PharmD students can enroll in several dual degree programs including the PharmD/MBA and PharmD/MPH degrees.

Faculty members in the Department of Pharmacy Practice provide outreach through the provision of patient care, as well as professional service. Additionally, the Department is committed to conducting impactful research that advances the scientific community and pharmacy practice.
