Duties

The Department of Computer Science has internationally known research groups in a number of areas, including AI and machine learning, cloud and mobile computing, computer system and information security, evolutionary computation, computer vision and graphics, and bioinformatics. Worldwide recognition: #19 & #23 worldwide in AI and CS respectively by U.S. News & World Report Global University Rankings 2025-2026; #18 worldwide in CS&E by ShanghaiRanking Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2024; #45 & #59 worldwide in DS&AI and CS&IS respectively by QS University Rankings 2025; #57 worldwide in CS by Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025.

Requirements

A PhD in Computer Science or related disciplines. Candidates should have an excellent proven record of research and teaching in Computer Science. Preference will be given to candidates with strong research background in Computer Architecture and Systems, Operating Systems and Compilers, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Analytics, and Information Security. Other areas of interest include Software Engineering, Databases, Computer Networks, Computer Vision and Graphics, Algorithms, and Computational Biology.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be driven by market competitiveness and individual performance. Excellent fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes, and relocation assistance (where applicable). Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract.
